Yellow has been making waves on the festival circuit winning a number of awards. The creative minds behind the short Brian Barnes and Matthew Merenda are independent filmmakers from Canada and Pennsylvania respectively. Based in Los Angeles, they make creative marketing content for major motion picture and television studios, and their work has won multiple Promax, Golden Trailer, and Clio awards. They met while attending film school at Ithaca College where, coincidentally, they were recognized with the same faculty award in consecutive years. Though they have collaborated for some time now, Yellow is the debut film of their partnership.
