Will Arnold Schwarzenegger Be Back For Terminator 6?
When The Terminator was released in 1984 Orion Pictures did not even have faith in the film being a success, only permitting one press screening prior to release. Little did they realise that the franchise would still be going in 2015.
However, following the lackluster reception of Terminator Genisys, the third Terminator movie to receive a poor reception, it looked like any further planned sequels had been put on permanent hold.
It seems like that could not be the case, or at least nobody told Arnold Schwarzenegger that it has been cancelled. The Telegraph has reported during a recent interview with Channel 9 in Australia, when asked about the possibility of Terminator 6 Arnold replied “I am looking forward to it, absolutely,”.
Paramount had pulled the planned sequel from it’s release schedule in January and it has been replaced by the Baywatch movie starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Terminator Genisys was not a complete flop. Even though it only made $89 million at the US box office, the international audience gave it a much warmer reception pulling in total of $350 million, with the movie making 89 million in a single day in China.
With a film based on time travel anything is possible so don’t be too surprised if we see another Terminator sequel in the near future.
