Trainspotting 2 on Track
For the last twenty years rumors have circulated about the cult classic Trainspotting getting a sequel. Danny Boyle directed the tale based on the book by Irvine Welsh about a group of heroin addicts living in Edinburgh. The movie helped launch the careers of Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, and Johnny Lee Miller who all went on to do some amazing things.
Last year Danny Boyle announced that he was making a sequel last year and had the original cast members returning. Boyle recently confirmed on Facebook that he has already begun filming in Edinburgh.
The movie will be based loosely on the novel ‘Porno’, Irvine Welsh’s sequel to Trainspotting, however the movie won’t be using the name.
Although things have been moving pretty quickly recently with this sequel there is currently no word yet on a release date.
