The Angry World of Brian Webster… Five Years in the Making
“The Angry World of Brian Webster” is a feature-length project conceived by writer/director Jim Heffernan over a five-year-period, mixing autobiographical elements from his own personal experiences with a sharp, comedic commentary on the rough, no-breaks-given world of DIY-filmmaking.
The film was shot entirely in the Boston area over the course of eleven months on a budget that is miniscule by industry standards and featuring some of the most talented up-and-coming actors from the New England film community.
In the darkly irreverent tradition of BETTER OFF DEAD and NATIONAL LAMPOON’S VACATION comes a raucous, laugh out loud look at the intersection where our dreams, responsibilities and relationships collide, with a special emphasis on the odd people we call friends and why we’ll never escape them.

Recently fired by his employer and sent packing by his longtime girlfriend, down-on-his luck aspiring filmmaker Brian Webster wants nothing more than to sort out the pieces of his shattered existence and begin work on his next “great” screenplay. Unfortunately, his unorthodox band of childhood friends have other plans and use their own unique brand of motivation in an ill-fated attempt to cheer him up. Along the way, he’ll endure questionable life advice, tangle with eccentric neighbors, and find himself in unlawful, outlandish, and incorrigible misadventures that may just reshape his life ambitions… or shorten his life expectancy.
