The 8th Sahar International short film festival 2021 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Sahar International Short Film Festival is looking forward to the upcoming the 8th Edition of the festival in the Summer of 2021. This year the Festival will take place online on Saturday 24th July to 31st July 2021.
The festival is an independent and self financed Festival which was created in September 2014, organized by Cyrus The Great Production Ltd. Mandana Ansari, Sahar Ansari and Martin Gleeson are Creators of the Festival. The aim of SISFF id to provide a platform for Young and Emerging, professional, and talented Filmmakers to showcase their cinematic talents.

Mandana is freelance digital filmmaker (Film Director, writer and producer) Journalist, Cyrus the great production ltd’s owner and President of this Festival.
Sahar Ansari is Mandana’s daughter. She is creative director and Iranian President of this festival. Sahar is a professional Artist in Iranian Cinema TV and Film industry. She worked for a decade with Mohsen Darsanj Nominated for several awards as Make up Artist. Their latest Cinematic Feature film is “Astigmat” which screened in 2018 in many cinemas across IRAN.
Martin Gleeson is an engineer and senior organiser of Sahar international short film festival. These family members run the Sahar International Short Film Festival.
The income of the organization is entirely from the personal resources of this Family.

Terms & Conditions for Entry
- Short Films from 1 minute to 30 minutes with All genres and themes are considered.
- The Filmmakers are invited to send their short HD Film Link directly to saharfilmfestival@gmail.com
- All the Short Films which have been produced in the past years will be considered but Priority is with films which released since Jan 2019.
- All the short Films or Videos must at least be in HD format and have all essential permissions for copyright in all material included in the Film or Video.
- The Films which produced to promote Tourism, Religion, specific political parties’ purposes are not considered.
- All Short Film Links from Drop box, Vimeo and YouTube with open download button required.
- All Films which officially selected will be downloaded on Sahar International Short Film Festival YouTube channel and will be open for streaming on SISFF 2021 website.
- All Films which will be selected, will be presented with SISFF 2021 Online Certificate of appreciation.
- No Fees Required but Donation accepted.
