Stallone Possibly Set to Star in Guardians Vol. 2
Guardians of the Galaxy was an amazing success when it was released in 2014 helped by its soundtrack provided to us courtesy of Star-Lord’s mixtape in his walkman. The music was an excellent nod to the 70’s and 80’s and gave the movie a really unique feel.
Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 looks set to continue its retro vibe and not to the past by including 80’s action star Kurt Russell in a role that is yet to be announced. Now, it looks as though another action star from the 1980’s could be on board as NY Daily News recently reported that Sylvester Stallone had been photographed heading to the set of the movie currently being filmed in Atlanta. Stallone was holding what looked like a script as he headed off in a car what was usually assigned to Chris Pratt.
Stallone, who is 69, has revived his career in recent years with the success of ‘The Expendables’ franchise spawning three movies so far, and the recent Rocky spin-off ‘Creed’ getting him a string of award nominations for his performance.
Marvel have not made any announcement to confirm or deny Stallone’s involvement in the series.
