Simon Pegg to Join Ready Player One?
We recently informed you about Steven Spielberg’s latest project ‘Ready Player One’ had cast Tye Sheridan in the role of the main character Wade Watts. Tye joined Ben Mendelsohn and Olivia Cooke as part of the cast.
Now Simon Pegg looks set to join them as part of the movie base on the Ernest Cline novel. This won’t be the first time Pegg and Spielberg have worked together, the pair having worked on Band Of Brothers and The Adventures Of Tintin.
The movie is about a teenage boy in the future, 2044 to be exact, called Wade Watts who only feels at home logging on and playing his favorite game OASIS. This virtual world contains thousands of worlds within it and the currency in the game is the most table currency in the world. However when the creator dies he launches a contest with the winner receiving the creators real-life fortune and full control over OASIS. When Wade discovers the first clue in the contest he finds his life in danger, both in the real world and the virtual one and the race is on for the ultimate prize.
Simon Pegg is becoming pretty hot property after appearing in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we can next find him in Star Trek Beyond out July 22.
