PAINLESS wins the prestigious New Vision Award at Cinequest

Painless, the tale of a lonely, reclusive man who becomes obsessed with finding a cure for his rare condition that doesn’t allow him to feel physical pain, has won the prestigious New Vision Award for its world premiere screening at the Cinequest Film and VR Festival (CQFF).
The Cinequest Film Festival wrapped Sunday, March, 12th with over 800 world leading artists and innovators presenting 132 World and U.S. premieres and cutting-edge media technologies. Comprised of 25 feature films, the New Visions program focuses on film artists who re-define their craft by creating original work. This prestigious section gives emerging filmmakers an opportunity to gain the recognition necessary to launch distribution and promotional campaigns. Films are selected based on creativity and adventurous storytelling.
Painless, a science-based drama, was produced by an award winning team including writer / director Jordan Horowitz of Brooklyn, NY, and Rhode Island’s Anthony Ambrosino and Nicholas Delmenico. The film stars Montreal native Joey Klein (American Gangster, On The Road and 12 Monkeys: The Series, The Other Half).
Cinequest, voted Best Film Festival by USA Today readers, has led the world in its showcase and implementation of the technologies that have revolutionized filmmaking, exhibition and distribution.
