Oldman to Star in Churchill Movie

Gary Oldman is set to play Winston Churchill in World War II drama – Darkest Hour. Set in 1940 the movie will look at the early days of Churchill as Prime Minister when Britain was under pressure to strike a deal with Germany.
Soon after Churchill was elected he assembled a British fleet to rescue 335,000 soldiers who had been cut off by Germany.
The movie will be directed by Joe Wright and written and produced by Anthony McCarten, who has been working on the project for some time.Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will also be producing.
Production is set to begin in July.
