Michael Keaton is The Founder
Michael Keaton has stepped back into the limelight in recent years with a string of well received movies including Birdman and Spotlight, also appearing in big budget movies Need For Speed and RoboCop.
His latest role will see him playing Ray Kroc in The Founder, the story of fast food chain McDonalds. In case you don’t know the tale, Kroc was a businessman from Illinois who took over a small restaurant in the 1961 for $2.7 million and turned it into the food giant it is today.
The Founder also stars Nick Offerman, BJ Novak, Laura Dern and Linda Cardellini. John Lee Hancock (Saving Mr. Banks & The Blind Side) is directing a script by Robert D. Siegel (The Wrestler & Turbo) so the movie is in pretty solid hands.
“The Founder” is scheduled to release on August 5.
