Marvel vs DC: Comic Con Movie Summary
Recently, all the biggest nerds and comic book lovers gather together in San Diego to celebrate Comic Con; the yearly event in celebration of the comic book culture. This has infamously known to play host to cosplayers, real movie props, merchandise, big reveals, and panels of the casts and crews of the newest comic book movies and tv shows- where the stars are interviewed, and if fans are lucky, they receive exclusive content about said film’s upcoming release. Well, this year, the two big superhero companies- Marvel and DC- came out all guns blazing, with a lot of content and reveals that left fans pleasantly overwhelmed! A summary of everything you need to know of what’s coming up in their movie universes is below…
DC
First up was DC, and they didn’t disappoint. Here’s what they brought…
1. Official Wonder Woman (2017) Poster
The tagline says it all.
2. Aquaman (2018) gets a screenwriter…
Will Beall (Gangster Squad) is officially writing the Aquaman script- reportedly to not be as dark as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
3. We finally have a trailer for Wonder Woman (2018)!!
Epic. Nothing else to say about it.
4. None other than an OFFICIAL Justice League Photo AND Movie Logo!
5. One final Suicide Squad (2016) trailer to maximise the hype!
6. Brand new and shiny Justice League Logos for each of our characters!
7. They did it! A Justice League (2017) Teaser Trailer!!!
Get excited, this universe is finally happening.
And… That’s it! This went above and beyond fan expectations and promised some good things to come! Things are looking up for DC!

3. Black Panther News:
Black Panther (2018) will begin production in January 2017, Lupita Nyong’o will play Nakia of the Dora Milaje, Danai Gurira will play Okoye, and Michael B. Jordan will play Erik Kilmonger!

This will be a ‘high-school’ movie, Peter Parker will be 15 years old in 10th grade, Zendaya has been confirmed to play Liz Allen, and Tony Revelori is playing Flash Thompson.

8. Guardians of the Galaxy News:
The film will pick up a few months after the first one left off, a new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction will open at Disney’s California Adventure in 2017, and Kurt Russell will portray Star-Lord’s father: Ego the living planet.

Wow! Marvel certainly unveiled a LOT of content to get us pumped for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I know I certainly am!
