John Goodman Joins Patriots Day
Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller Patriots Day has just signed on 10 Cloverfield Lane’s John Goodman.
The movie based on the bombings that took place at the 2013 Boston Marathon is being directed by Peter Berg and will star Mark Wahlberg as an officer in the Boston Police Department who is central to the investigation into the bombing and the manhunt that follows.
Goodman will play the role of former Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis who played a pivotal role in organising the many agencies brought in to the investigation including the FBI, Watertown Police Department, Boston Police Department and Massachusetts State Police, allowing them to work together and collaborate their efforts in bringing the terrorists to justice.
The movie is set for a limited release December 21, followed by a mass release January 13, 2017.
