J.K. Simmons Cast in Another Iconic Comic Book Role

Zack Snyder has just made an awesome decision to cast J.K. Simmons as a Commissioner James Gordon in the Justice League movie franchise. Simmons is no stranger to superhero movies having done an outstanding job playing J. Jonah Jameson in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man universe.
J.K. Simmons, who won a string of awards last year for Whiplash is perfectly suited for the role and will most likely also be pivotal in any Batman stand alone movie as he is one of the only allies Batman has in Gotham City. The DCU is shaping up very nicely with a huge list of big name stars now firmly on board.
Justice League Part One is scheduled to begin filming in just a few weeks with the release date set for November 2017.
