High-Rise – Movie Review (Video)

High-Rise, albeit adapted from a novel from the 1970’s suffers from ‘Been there done that’ syndrome.
If films like Snowpiercer, Titanic and Dredd didn’t exist. This would be quite a neat film. But those films take the same subject matter and subtext and execute much better and furthermore in a more entertaining way.
High-Rise is a snoozefest, not because it’s necessarily bad, but because it doesn’t do anything interesting with the topic.
It might be a great adaptation of the 70’s novel, sadly that doesn’t translate into a great film.
