Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg on Board for Indiana Jones 5

After a few years of speculation about the future of Indiana Jones it has been confirmed that Harrison Ford will be returning as the treasure hunting archaeologist for a fifth outing. Not only that but it has also been confirmed that Steven Spielberg will be directing traffic on the project.
Disney chairman Alan Horn announced that Indiana Jones would be returning in 2019, July 19 to be exact, which will be great news for fans of the series.
There have been numerous rumors about Harrison Ford stepping down and another star taking over or a reboot to the series, but those rumors have now been squashed with this announcement.
After the disastrous fourth outing for Indy, we are all hoping that Spielberg and Ford can pull this one out of the bag. The fourth movie was set in 1957 and paid tribute to the science fiction B-movies of the time, stepping away, to a degree, from the archaeological roots. The movie also introduced Indy’s son although there is no word yet on whether he will return.
Lets hope they can end the Indiana Jones run on a high and take away the bad taste that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gave us.
