GARDEN STATE FILM FESTIVAL ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR THE RISING STAR AWARD

The internationally recognized Garden State Film Festival (GSFF), which returns home to Asbury Park this March for its 16th anniversary, is now accepting applications for the 2018 Rising Star Award.
The award, which recognizes up-and-coming actors for achievements in theater, film and television, is open to actors of all ages and affiliations. Managers, agents, actors and friends of actors are invited to submit their nominations HERE and click on the right on Rising Star Award for more information.
Eligible candidates must showcase an undeniable passion for acting, with a progression of work in theater, commercials, television or film. Past winners include Adam Mucci, of the hit TV series “Boardwalk Empire” and “Orange is the New Black”; Ronnie Marmo, of “General Hospital”; Joey Russo, of the acclaimed 2014 film “Jersey Boys”; and 2017 winner Camrus Johnson, of Marvel’s “Luke Cage” and “There’s…Johnny!”

The winner must be available to attend the Garden State Film Festival, held from March 22 to 25, 2018 in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The recipient will be honored at the GSFF Black Tie Awards Banquet on March 25 at The English Manor and invited to participate in festival events.
