FOUR-VATAR: Cameron Is Looking At Four Avatar Sequels

James Cameron made a surprise appearance on stage at 20th Century Fox’s CinemaCon presentation and revealed he is planning on making FOUR sequels to Avatar. All the movies will have a stand-alone stories that allow everyone to enjoy them, even if they haven’t seen any of the others, but their will be an overall story-arc that will tie all the movies together.
James Cameron has been working with top screenwriters and designers to help him build the world for his movies to exist in. Cameron admitted he is “Speechless” by what he had seen from the team so far. The team he is working with includes Rick Jaffa, Josh Friedman, Shane Salerno and Amanda Silver.
The next Avatar movie is expected around 2018 with others to follow 2020, 2022 and 2023.
