Five Minutes With Wassim Hawat
We were lucky enough to grab five minutes with Wassim Hawat who has just signed to star opposite a slew of ‘70s action icons in the new film Old School Gangstas, the world might just be Wassim Hawat’s oyster.
Thanks fo speaking with us! Congratulations on Old School Gangstas! What a great concept! Can you tell us some of the names doing the film?
Thank you very much; some of the names include Pam Grier, Robert Forster, Jim Brown, Fred Williamson, and Richard Roundtree! I was a big fan, especially, of Grier, Brown and Williamson growing up.

Who is directing?
Fred Williamson, which should be interesting. He’s a talented guy!
Is the film a comedy or action movie?
Action all the way. It’s going to be a treat for fans of the genre and these iconic genre names!

Old School Gangstas is just one of several movies you have coming up this year. Can you tell us about the others?
I have several movies coming up, The Unhallowed, Out for Vengeance, The Last Immortal and The Magnificent Raiders of Dimension War One.
It’s good to hear you have lots going on.
As an actor, did anyone in particular inspire you… still inspire you?
Where do I start? So many! Gerard Butler, Tom Hardy, Al Pacino, Russell Crowe, Robert De Niro, Leonardo Di Caprio, Cate Blanchett, Jack Nicholson, Hugh Jackman. The late, great Heath Ledger, especially.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Little bit of everything! Producing my own TV series – an animated project, doing voice overs, producing films, sinking my teeth into good roles, and going onto big budget features with studios. Big plans.
