FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY SETS DOWN OHIO ROOTS FOR NEXT THREE FEATURE FILMS

Bucketnaut Media Productions, the independent filmmaking studio that brought SAG Award winner Joe Chrest to NW Ohio for last year’s The Cran , has announced plans to remain in the area for production on subsequent feature films Eviscerate Me! (2022) And Refrigerator (2023). With the company’s official media launch this upcoming February the 1st, 2021, Bucketnaut plans to announce their slate of upcoming films alongside an expanded internet media presence
and a series of short content directed to national film festivals.
Last year’s production of The Cran (dir. Tyler Savino) filmed primarily in Bowling Green, Ohio, with additional locations in Portage, Toledo, Findlay, Lima, Pemberville, Port Clinton, and Adrian MI. The production starred Stranger Things’ Joe Chrest alongside Chicago actor Matthew Alan Porter (Utopia) and Oak Harbor native Marlee Carpenter. The project is additionally produced by Four By Three Productions, and a national theatrical run is planned for Summer 2021. The film is a dark comedy/thriller about two high school exes who run afoul of a rural cult.
Eviscerate Me! (dir. Elijah Lothamer) is an upcoming drama/horror film about the downfall of a child star and the effect it has on her internet fans. The film stars Onyx Simpson, Libby Dietrix, and Clementine Hetherington.
Refrigerator (dir. Tyler Savino) is a recently announced dark comedy film about three bandmates hiding in a cheap Florida motel while anxiously awaiting news on their long-missing friend. Stars Callie Bussell, Mackenzie Baumhower, and Marlee Carpenter.
As part of establishing a semi-permanent presence in Ohio, Bucketnaut founders Tyler Savino and Marlee Carpenter hope to help establish an artistic ecosystem that encourages development of unique, creative content local to the Great Lakes Area, and not dependent on the success markers of Los Angeles, NYC, or similar filmmaking hotspots.
