Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) stars as Newt Scamander, the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist, who stops in New York for a meeting with an important official following his travels to find and document magical creatures. Scamander has a magical briefcase which contains a number of creatures and their habitats. Unfortunately the creatures escape and causes the American Wizarding Authority to go after him. The creatures threaten the relations between magical and non-magical folk in New York which is already strained due to the emergence of the New Salem Philanthropic Society, an organization dedicated to wiping out all wizard-kind.
