Ethan McKellar Asks “Do You Believe In Love?”

21st Century Love

New York City filmmaker releases short film 21st Century Love Story. A story of one girl’s journey to answer the question, ‘do you believe in love?’.

Written and Directed by Ethan McKellar, a filmmaker based in New York City, 21st Century Love Story, is a passion project that has been in development for 2 years. Under the Gen Z production company based in New York, F14 Entertainment, Ethan McKellar works with a talented team including fellow producers Emma Millington and Jaden Morello, cinematographer Aidan Bell, and composer Suhani Baviskar. Featuring Emily David as the main character Sammy and her fellow cast members Danny Canales, Jules Citro, Michael Milano and Natalie Cappetta. While the hope is gaining attraction at film festivals, Ethan told us the main goal is to share this beautiful story of modern love with as many people as possible. And it certainly is a beautiful love story so make sure you keep one eye open for this on your travels or at your next visit to a festival.

Sammy Callahan, a New York City College student, is forced to examine her feelings on love when her playwriting professor assigns her an assignment to write a love story based on ‘real-life experiences. While Sammy has never felt love, she begins to write what she believes love is. Taking from her best friend Eddie’s relationship experience, her attraction to a dance major, Rose, and her short relationship with student-athlete Tyler , she begins to craft a story. But just when things were going great, her perception on love comes crashing down and she is made to rediscover the true meaning of love over the course of the next 5 years.
