We thought it was about time we took a look aback at where James Bond began. Although Dr. No was not the first Ian Fleming novel, it was the first to be turned into a film.
When Strangeways, an agent based in Jamaica, is killed, Bond is sent in to investigate. The agent was working in co-operation with the CIA on a case involving the disruption of rockets using radio jamming and Bond is tasked with discovering if this is linked to his disappearance. The trail leads him to the reclusive Dr. Julius No, who owns the island of Crab Key.
Although a box office success, it received mixed reviews but it’s reputation has grown over the years and is now considered one of the best films in the Bond franchise.
