CUFF Audience Increases 15% over 2015 Audience & Jury Award Winners Announced

Last night, the seven-day Calgary Underground Film Festival closed on a high note. Breaking all previous attendance and box office records, this was the most successful festival yet.
Both the highest attended and highest grossing festival in CUFF’s 13 year history, attendance and box office revenue were up by 15%, with 6,400 attending the festival.
“The positive energy of the festival this year was absolutely amazing,” said Festival Director & Programmer Brenda Lieberman.
“We heard from so many people about how much they enjoyed CUFF, and what an important impact the festival has on the cultural landscape of the city.”
CUFF will continue to run year-round events, including Wednesday’s Canadian Film Day free screening of the cult classic GINGER SNAPS, with Director John Fawcett and cast member Emily Perkins in attendance.
CUFF is also thrilled to announce the winners of the 2016 Audience & Jury Awards.
