Chewbacca Confirmed For Han Solo Movie
Since Disney took charge of the Star Wars Universe they have made it clear their plans to expand and explore the ‘galaxy far, far away’ as much as they can, not only expanding the main timeline of the series with a sequel trilogy but also creating brand new stories in the expanded universe with stand alone movies.
One of the most talked about spin-off movies will concentrate on a younger Han Solo and it ha been confirmed by Bob Iger, Disney CEO at the Deutsche Bank 2016 Media, Internet & Telecom Conference, that Chewbacca will also feature in the movie.
It was always likely that Han Solo’s partner in crime would feature in the movie but the confirmation has snowballed speculation about how and if the movie will feature the first encounter between the pair. Writers Lawrence and Jon Kasdan have a lot of pressure on their shoulders to do this story justice as the weight of millions of Star Wars fans.
The first stand alone Stars Wars movie ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ flies into theaters 6 December 2016.
