Captain America : Civil War – Movie Review
We’ve all waited for it, and boy it doesn’t disappoint.
Captain America : Civil War is a more than perfect kick off to the Summer Movie Season. Not only that, but it goes to show that a film centered around a pretty dark topic of immigration and government agencies can be a hell of a lot of fun. FUN, the main reason, masses go to the movie theaters. For fun.
And yes, that was a subtle jab at the horse crap that was Batman V Superman. If anything, this film just added another foot to the already deep grave of Warner Bros and DC Comics. That grave’s deeper than six feet by now.
But back to topic, Civil War is the best action film since Mad Max:Fury Road, and the best superhero film I’ve seen. Because it finds a way to blend the art of moviemaking and comic books, and it all comes full circle in the marquee sequence of the film, the Airport fight scene.
By now, you’re wondering and telling yourself ‘How can he call it the best superhero film ever? Hasn’t he seen The Dark Knight?’, why yes I have, and it always baffled me as to how people felt obligated to place that film on number 1 of their list. It’s been 8 years since it was out, there have been better films than TDK, and this is definitely one of them.
