Cannonball Run Returns
Reboots and remakes have been doing big business these past few ears, despite the mixed reviews they tend to receive.
Now Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder, Men in Black 3, Get Hard) is getting into the driving seat to write and direct a brand new Cannonball Run movie.
The original Cannonball Run movie was released in 1981 and was followed by sequels in 1984 and 1989. The movie franchise featured an all-star cast throughout the three movies including Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore, Dom DeLuise, Farrah Fawcett, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Adrienne Barbeau, Jackie Chan, Michael Hui, Telly Savalas, Richard Dawson Kiel, John Candy and many, many others.
The plots of the movie revolved around an illegal cross-country car race. Drivers took it in turns to start the race and try to get to the finish line in the quickest time possible with competitors doing anything the could to try and win.
With Cohen behind the camera of a wacky race anything is possible.
