Calgary International Film Festival to host Oscar Party & show Oscar shortlisted documentary
Following the success of last year’s inaugural Oscar® Party and fundraiser, the Calgary International Film Festival is once again hosting a broadcast of the 89th Academy Awards which take place on Sunday, February 26.
Movie fans will come together to celebrate the most successful films of the year – many of which had their Calgary premiere at the 17th Calgary International Film Festival.
Tickets range from $100 (VIP experience including prime seating and a swag bag) to $60 (general seating). Proceeds from this event will help raise funds for the Calgary International Film Festival, including our ability to showcase and celebrate Alberta’s world-renowned local film & television industry.
In addition to the Oscar Party, the Calgary International Film Festival will show the Oscar®-shortlisted documentary ZERO DAYS as part of the year-round Doc Soup Series co-presented by Hot Docs.
ZERO DAYS is a documentary thriller by Alex Gibney about warfare in the world of cyberwar. Join us at Globe Cinema on Wednesday, January 4 at 7 p.m. as we continue our season of the most anticipated and acclaimed documentaries. Tickets cost $15 ($13 for students & seniors).
