In 1989 Tim Burton brought Batman back to the silver screen. Michael Keaton pulled on the cape and cowl as the dark knight and Jack Nicholson transformed himself into the Joker in this classic movie that made superhero movies cool again.
Bruce Wayne spends his nights dressed as Batman cleaning up the streets of Gotham City. When Crime boss Carl Grissom sends his right hand man, Jack Napier, into a trap with the police, Batman interferes and unintentionally drops Napier into a vat of chemicals transforming him into the Joker. Joker takes over Gotham and it is up to Batman to stop him.
