The 2nd Sahar International Short Film Festival 2016 Final selections were announced on 30th of April at the presentation ceremony in Greater Manchester Old ham Library.
Best Films by Audience on 23rd of April 2016 in Contemporary Iranian Cinema were:
“It is Winter” by Sepideh Mirhoseini and “Experiment” by Mohammad Reza Minapour
On 30th of April, International best short films by audience were:
“Lonely Continent” by Mandana Ansari and “Why” by Vahid Monjezi
Best by SISFF Panel of Judges:
Best Director: “It is Winter” by Sepideh Mirhoseini and “The wind will tell something” by Ali Mardomi
Best Screenplay: “Remaining piece of taste of cherry” by Javad Chardoly and “We cant live without cozmoz” by Konstantin Bronzit
Best Documentary: Migratery Birds: Hossein Dadgar
Best Animation: Junk Girl by Mohamad Zare & Shalaleh Kheiri and Keechadpanti by Anant Keni.
Best Camera: Gabriel Lobos for To the top
Best music: Robert steel for Junk girl and Migratory Birds
Best Composer: Chakad Fesharaki for Warp & Weft
Best Singer: Ashigh Gorban Aliyari for Migratory birds and Behrokh Hossein Babayee for Lonely Continent
