Arm’s Length Trailer
ARM’S LENGTH is a short film, a political satire about greed in America.
It tells the story a man, the heir to a stock market fortune, who resorts to petty theft after he fails an interview for a Wall Street job.
Peter Palmer was born rich, yet he is determined to show his father that he can make it on his own and achieve the American dream in New York City without help. Will he make it? Who can make it in America today? When Peter fails an important interview for a Wall Street job, his fantasies of success give way to a debilitating fear of his father’s criticism. Once pushed to his limits, he wrecks havoc on the people around him and goes on a petty crime spree. His victims catch up to him, but Peter has privilege and a few more tricks up his sleeve. In this political satire about riches to riches, absurd elements help to paint a picture of a system that values greed over human life and dignity.
