Annabelle is Back for Another Conjuring Spin-off
In 2013 we were given the supernatural horror – The Conjuring. The story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, two paranormal investigators prominent in cases of haunting. It was released to positive reviews and became one of the highest grossing horrors of all time. The Conjuring went on to spawn a spin-off – Annabelle. The movie was inspired by a story of a doll named Annabelle told by Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Now we are eagerly awaiting The Conjuring 2 which is being released on June 10. The Conjuring 2 will continue to follow the adventures of Ed and Lorraine Warren who travel to England to investigate poltergeist activity at a council house in Enfield.
And before the movie has even hit cinemas we have news that we are also going to get Annabelle 2 and it’s already got his director in the shape of David F. Sandberg who will continue to explore the evil doll. The first Annabelle movie took more than $245 million from a modest budget of $6.5 million, which was an excellent return. The screenplay was written by Gary Dauberman and he is back for this sequel.
The Conjuring 2 will be in cinemas on June 17, but we have quite a while to wait for Annabelle 2.
