Alien Day is Coming April 26
20th Century Fox today announced that April 26 will become known as Alien Day! A chance to celebrate anything and everything from the Alien series.
If you are a little confused as to why April 26 would be Alien day then you need to go back and watch the movies again. Die hard fans will understand the reference to LV-426, the planet where the Aliens originate. Still not sure? LV-426, 4-26, April 26!
The day will include nationwide screenings of the Alien movies and BRAND NEW products never seen in stores before! These include the Alien Stomper’s by Reebok, worn by Ripley, and the mid tops worn by Bishop, the android played by Lance Henriksen in Aliens. There will also be a whole host of new action figures, books, graphic novels and audio plays available.

The Alien franchise began in 1979 (watch the original trailer here) and is still going strong today with the second in planned trilogy of prequel movies currently in scheduled for a 2017 release. In total there have been seven Alien movies released (including the Alien v Predator movies) and it looks like we have plenty more on the horizon from Ridley Scott.
So best get prepared for April 26 and dust off your Alien movies and get watching…
