Alex Garland Teaming With Oscar Isaac Again For Annihilation
Last Year Alex Garland’s directorial debut ‘Ex Machina’ was a surprise success winning the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. No doubt the success can be shared with the stars of the movie including Oscar Isaac played Nathan Bateman, the founder and CEO of Blue Book.
Garland and Isaac are now teaming up again for another slice of science fiction.
Tracking-Board.com has recently reported that Garland is working on an adaption of ‘Annihilation’, a science fiction novel and has got Oscar Isaac on board. Isaac will be joining the stellar cast including Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, and Natalie Portman.
Portman plays a biologist who volunteers to take part into an expedition into an area sealed off as an environmental disaster zone. However she soon discovers a lot more than she bargained for.
Garland has adapted the screenplay from the novel himself and is set to direct. If he can continue on from the success of Ex Machina then surely big things lie ahead for him.
Oscar Isaac will be back on our screens soon in the latest X-Men movie – X-Men: Apocalypse, out May 27.
