TheBruvs are coming to Dave

TheBruvs.com

Back in August last year we featured the BRAND NEW web series TheBruvs from British TV writer and producer Ian Brown and award-winning animation director Eoin Clarke. Well we are extremely pleased to announce that TheBruvs are coming to a TV screen near you thanks to Dave and UKTV Play. The Bruvs will be in good company on Dave joining the likes of Top Gear, Mock the Week and Red Dwarf.

Featuring London villain brothers Doug and Den Bruv, the series follows their misadventures as they try to go straight and keep their noses clean in leafier climes north of London. Joining them for the ride are their old Dad, permanently over-spraytanned girlfriend Chanterelle, their sister Janice and her son Jason.

While they try to be good, the brothers generally end up in trouble – often violence – mainly between themselves…proving blood really is thicker.

THe people behind TheBruvs said:
“This will hopefully be an opportunity to grow TheBruvs even more and to help us with our plans to build TheBruvs and to make longer cartoons for you to enjoy, telling more of a sitcom-style story about all the characters. We have always had big plans for TheBruvs but have been constrained by budgets, time and the need to earn money in other ways. We still have to do that, currently, but IF TheBruvs can move up a gear… who knows?”

The channel are set to feature 11 episodes of TheBruvs shorts – all spruced up for TV, as well as continuing to pump out new content online at TheBruvs.com.

TheBruvs makes its debut today on Dave and will be available on the UKTV VOD service from May 3rd so make sure to watch out for it. Doug and Den
