Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (also known as The Road Warrior and Max 2) is a post apocolyptic action movie set in Austrailia. It is the second film in the Mad Max movie franchise and was released in 1981. The movie was written and directed by George Miller and starred Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence and Michael Preston.
Former police officer Max Rockatansky wanders the future wastelands of Austrailia searching for fuel and scavanging to survive. He soon becomes mixed up in a war between a brutal motorcycle gang and a small community based at a working oil refinery. Max offers to help them to escape by delivering them a truck to them that would allow the to take the gasoline they have with them. In exchange Max wants as much fuel as he can carry.
Max begins to understand that it is not only his own fate that hangs in the balance, but also all of the community he has offered to help.
