The Death Wish franchise is a long and storied one. Starting in 1974 and starring Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey the man who turns vigilante after the death of his wife during a break-in at his home. The last outing for Charles Bronson was Death Wish V: The Face of Death released in 1994.
Since then there had been a movie based on the sequel to the Death Wish novel, Death Sentence. The movie starred Kevin Bacon as Nick Hume, a man who goes on a vigilante streak after his son is murdered by a gang.
Now the series is getting a reboot and it looks like Bruce Willis is set to star. The movie has been written by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, who will also direct. Willis will be an excellent fit to replace Bronson, who sadly passed away in 2003. Lets hope that Bruce Willis can come up trumps with this movie, and kick-start the franchise.
